	HOME	CORVETTES OF FRESNO - GENERAL MEETING MINUTES JANUARY 17, 2012 CALL TO ORDER: President Ron Miller called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm. Board Members present were Jonathan Baker, Jackey Christani, Harry Bellow, Ron Miller, Jim Agar, Frank Stafford and Larry Minnich. Pledge of allegiance was done. MEMBERSHIP: Harry Bellow reported at today’s Meeting: 58 members and 4 guests present. The following guests were introduced: James Belk, Dennis Clark, Robert Ward and Leighton Hawn. New members Rolando & Lori Martinez were presented with their new member package. Photo op followed. January birthdays and anniversaries were acknowledged. Burt Sherman was awarded the (almost perpetual) U-Turn Trophy for a third year in a row, photo followed. Steve Profera was congratulated on his purchase of the 2003 – 50th Anniversary Pace Car - #3 of the 3 Corvettes that led for the May 2002, Indianapolis 500. Photos taken by Jim Agar to be featured in a later edition of the Fiberglass Forever– COF Newsletter. COF has a membership of 126 members and 87 cars. SECRETARY’S REPORT: Jackey Christani did not have a copy of the November minutes on hand. Jerry Najarian called for a motion to forego the reading of the minutes of the November meeting. It was moved by Nick DiLiddo & seconded by Alan Teixeira to accept the minutes as printed. Motion approved. There were no minutes for December as there was no general meeting. TREASURER’S REPORT: Larry Minnich reported the accounts activity, which is on file to be reviewed by members. Motion was made by Chuck Robb to approve the Treasurer’s report as read. Robert made a motion to accept the reading of the report, Angie DiLiddo seconded. Motion carried. Larry Minnich also reported on the 2012 Budget. Alan Teixeira made a motion to approve the 2012 Budget as read. Nick DiLiddo seconded. Motion carried. COMMUNICATIONS: Extra Newsletter up front for our guests. This month’s newsletter was 28 pages printed and 57 on the web. This Friday, January 20, 2012 is the deadline for anything to be included in the February newsletter. WEBMASTER: Frank Stafford working out the “bugs and bytes” in the website and doing a fine job! He will be unavailable for three meetings due to prior a commitment and Jim Agar will submit his monthly report for him. ACTIVITIES, Past: Christmas Party - Billie Talley gave a delightful recount of the holiday fun, fabulous food, with camaraderie and cheer. Hats off again, to Liz DeVoe for the fantastic holiday table decorations. Three cheers for the D.J’s The Christmas Extravaganza - Melodrama Event, at Pismo Beach was another great time had by all, even if Burt Sherman tried to lose the group, Burt is the three consecutive time winner, of the infamous “U-Turn Award”. We also enjoyed another fantastic lunch in Morro Bay, at the Cavanaugh’s - Terri and Dave outdid themselves again. Nick now has 27 cars, planning to leave in two groups ten minutes apart. 3/3/2012 6th Annual Sanger Chamber Blossom Trail Car Show see Lee Delap for more info. 04/14/2012 Cystic Fibrosis Walk at Dry Creek Park, Clovis Ave and Alluvial (be there or be square). 05/05/2012 Relay for Life, event has been moved, due to construction, but alternate location to be announced. Go to RelayForLife.org/Fresno.ca for updates. 05/19/2012 Ronald Regan Museum Event – Air Force One, then the Mindenhall Museum of “Automobilia” a private collection, not open to the public, Jim Agar has arranged a special viewing. Exciting new flaming dice Hoodies and T-shirts available now, for sale – Tahoe 44 – Get In Gear and strut your stuff, raffles, door prizes and drawings, stay tuned. Who is Mr. Roll-Off and how may he be coaxed to keep the hot-dogs on the grill this year? Come to Tahoe 44 – September 6, 7, 8, 9 for the continuing saga of the longest running Corvette Club Event in the U.S.A. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Jon DeVoe recounted the visit to Make a Wish, Marjorie Mason and Hines Hospice with the COF Donation Checks, all delivered on 12/13/2011 and the warm thank you cards the club had received. Nick DiLiddo explained to the new members how we obtain the funds for the Charitable Donations through our yearly Tahoe Event. NEW BUSINESS: Bert Sherman gave a report on Mike Haney's current condition. Lee Delap spoke about ACCC and gave an overview of some of the issues still coming. NAME TAG DRAWING: Gerri Ware’s name was drawn but she was not there with her nametag on. Next month’s drawing will be $20. RAFFLE: was held by Harry Bellow: Patti McGraw and Jeannie Dehmel were the 2 lucky winners. The meeting adjourned at 8:15 p.m. Respectfully Submitted, Jackie Christani Secretary
