CORVETTES OF FRESNO  President’s Message

July 2008

From the Prez,

Now that July is upon us so is the hot weather. I want to personally thank The Sherman’s for putting on our first unmystery run I was not able to attend but I understand it was well attended. And everyone had a great time. Huntington Lake is probably one of the prettiest Lakes around and with the beautiful Corvettes surrounding Lake Shore you couldn’t ask for a better picture. Thank you Bert and Pat.

On Sunday June 14th Fathers day a car show was held at Valley Christian Center We had about 5 corvettes attend with Phil Lacey wining the trophy for the best Vette. I want to thank everyone who attended I received a nice thank you note from Valley Christian Center on how they appreciated Corvettes of Fresno attending.

We also had a group of 9 Corvettes that went to the Corvettes of Lake Tahoe car show at Lake Tahoe. I am going to write a little article in a section of our newsletter. I hope most everyone was able to drive their corvette to work day, on the 27 th of June. I forgot, I was lucky I didn’t forget to go to work. Oh well maybe next year.

Okay guys get ready for the Female drivers run hosted by Joan Kozera on August the 2nd. If the guys want to participate you must wear pink pants!. As Joan mentioned at the meeting the guys can go as long as they ride in the passenger seat.

We met Tuesday the 24th for our Tahoe 40 meeting I am amazed at what a great job Dave and Terry are doing and all the members that are helping out. As I mentioned in the past get ready because this should be the party of the year. So if you haven’t registered yet you better get with the program. It will be hear before you know it. Okay this is it for now, just remember It is Hands Free Time!  You can take it any way you like but make sure you have one hand available to Save the Wave.

                         You’re Prez

                         Allen
